BATTERED WOMEN’S SUPPORT SERVICES (BWSS)
For 37 years Battered Women’s Support Services (BWSS) has been empowering women and strengthening communities. Your monetary donation will go to the many vital support services and programs BWSS offers thousands of girls and women each year such as our Indigenous Women’s Program and our Advancing Women’s Awareness Regarding Employment (AWARE) program. BWSS Indigenous Women’s Program is run by Indigenous women for Indigenous women which uses traditional healing practices when
working with women survivors of trauma and colonization. BWSS AWARE program helps women move out of the cycle of trauma and violence through employment while increasing women’s financial self-sufficiency so they can live free of violence. Your clothing donation goes to My Sister’s Closet, a social enterprise of BWSS, which provides clothing to women and men in need and helps fund our essential services. Donations can be made by cash, cheque, or credit card and tax receipts will be issued.
