Mona M. Forster brings a deep understanding of the mining industry to WIMBC as well as considerable experience in strategic planning, corporate communications and business development. WIMBC serves an important role within the mining community, providing opportunities to empower women, share stories and connect in a supportive environment. She has been a passionate member of the mining and mineral exploration sectors for over 25 years, building her career on the ability to collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders and partners. During 12 years with Entrée Gold Inc., most recently as Executive Vice President, she balanced the needs of the employees and project teams with the demands for a return on investment from shareholders and mitigating the risks of managing operations globally. She also believes in giving back to the industry and has done so by serving on the board or advisory council for several industry related organizations, including seven years as an elected director and a term as Chair of the Board for the Association for Mineral Exploration. Mona also currently volunteers as a member of the Advisory Council for the Centre of Training Excellence in Mining and as a member of the Advisory Council for Resource Works.
